This and other sketching events are organized by various individuals here in Quebec City, and are usually quite a lot of fun.
Here's the scoop on the next one:
44th World Wide Sketchcrawl
Location: Roger Van den Hende Botanical Garden (at Université Laval)
Address: 2480 boulevard Hochelaga (G1V 0A6), just north of Place Sainte-Foy.
Date: Saturday, July 12, 2014 (re-scheduled to Sunday if it rains)
Time: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Cost: Access to the garden is free, and there is no fee for parking.

- In addition to plants, there are lots of structures and buildings you could sketch.
- Garden opens at 8:00 a.m.; come any time you like.
- Typically, the group meets at noon to have lunch and share drawings. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and do the same.
- Those who wish to remain after lunch (or start after lunch) are welcome to do so.
